Kramer is a plugin that will add inbound links to a post on your weblog as Pingbacks. What this means is that when a post in blog A links to a post in blog B, blog B will find the inbound link and add it as a pingback or a general comment, without the need for the author of the post on blog A to send a ping to blog B. The way it finds the new links is by searching Technorati (http://www.technorati.com) for all new inbound to a particular post and also (in the upcoming version) by analyzing and verifying incoming referrers. This application simply reads the given directory and it's subdirectories, and produces .htm file basing on a given template. The result file can be used to print out the contents of the folder, or as a sitemap of your website. Note: this program can't read your website online, it also doesn't understand external URLs, like: www.konradp.com, it only reads and exports a folder. Also, this application was created for myself, then I only added this help doc. and a few other things, and published. This means it is not very strongly tested, but it worked for me fine, so I assume it will work for you too.

SmartyPress<br> is another Smarty driven WordPress project. It looks interesting, and I had the thought that it might be possible to paste an alternative template system into WordPress by piggy-backing on top of the current system. The home.php, single.php, index.php files of the various themes could be loaders for another more secure templating system rather than PHP. It would certainly make editing templates and securing them against abuse easier, although for WordPress.com we have even fancier ideas to be announced later!
