  • A new website - NEWSPAGE (beta)
I have released a new website that I have been working on called "Newspage". On Newspage you can create "News Pages" (News Radars) by filtering the content with keywords. Every News Page created gets it's own RSS Feed, so you can easily subscribe to all the News Pages you create or find interesting. All the content is aggregated from all kinds of feeds around the web, and categorized by me.

  • I have installed the plugin Bad Behavior
I have installed the plugin "Bad Behavior". "Bad Behavior is a set of PHP scripts which prevents spambots from accessing your site by analyzing their actual HTTP requests and comparing them to profiles from known spambots. It goes far beyond User-Agent and Referer, however. Bad Behavior is available for several PHP-based software packages, and also can be integrated in seconds into any PHP script." Source

  • AJAX enable chat module released | drupal.org
I have just made a checkin into the contributions repo of an ajax enabled chat module. This module depends on the buddylist module to allow users to chat in real time with their online buddies on a Drupal powered website. The module includes the drupal.js created by thox for enabling Ajax in Drupal. We started off on this module to explore how we can utilize rich internet technologies like AJAX to create something useful within Drupal. The module is shaping up nicely but it can do with more robustness. This is definitely alpha quality code.

  • Drupal 4.6.3 / 4.5.5 released | drupal.org
The Drupal project has released version 4.6.3 of its open-source content management platform. Drupal 4.6.3 is a maintenance release that fixes problems reported using the bug tracking system. Drupal 4.6.3 also fixes a new security vulnerability in the third-party XML-RPC library that Drupal ships with. Since the same bug is also present in the Drupal 4.5 series, Drupal 4.5.5 is released as well. If you cannot upgrade at once, we strongly suggest that you remove the xmlrpc.php file from your Drupal installation's root directory. The xmlrpc.php file is used only for Drupal to receive XML-RPC calls.
