Overview of summer vacation program The Australia Telescope National Facility (ATNF) is the premier radio astronomical facility in Australia and operates world-class radio astronomy observatories at Parkes and Narrabri, with headquarters in Sydney. Research projects offered in the summer vacation program are usually in the areas of astronomy, computing, signal processing, engineering and outreach/education. Placements may be either in Sydney, or at one of the observatories at Parkes or Narrabri. Scholarships are available for 10 to 12 working weeks in the period December to February. The program includes a 10-week core period from early December until early February.
