  • The Yes Word
The plain language Edition is an attempt to make the old and middle English of the Tyndale translation easier for the modern reader to understand. One way it does this is by replacing many of the outdated words with more modern ones. For example, there are many “yeas” in the original and these being changed to “yeses” was the inspiration for calling it the “Yes Word.” It also contains many added footnotes that help explain some of the more difficult and less common words. All footnotes marked * RN are the modern recorder’s notes and those marked MN are marginal notes from the original text. Marginal notes (MN) are mostly credited to Tyndale, yet some may be of John Rogers.

  • UPDV Updated Bible Version
    # The UPDV Bible is based on the American Standard Version of 1901 (ASV). The ASV was used as the starting point for this Bible. However, a significant amount of new research is now available regarding ancient manuscripts (such as the Dead Sea Scrolls) and word meanings. This has been integrated into the UPDV Bible to improve accuracy. For this reason, the following authoritative texts were used for further refinement of the translation: # Old Testament: Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia; United Bible Societies' Preliminary and Interim Report on the Hebrew Old Testament Text Project; and the final report in Critique Textuelle De L'Ancien Testament. # New Testament (Greek): United Bible Societies--The Greek New Testament, Fourth Edition; and Nestle-Aland--Novum

  • Wieder Psalms
Laurance Wieder is only the third poet in history to produce a "complete" version of the psalms -- and his is extraordinary. Wieder's poems beautifully capture both the message of the psalms and the heart of King David, their author. This work is a literary gem that will delight all readers of poetry while also offering people of faith a deeply affective, highly relevant vehicle for reflecting on God and the religious dimension of life.
