- Interactives . The Rock Cycle . Introduction
"Discover rock secrets through these activities. Create a rock collection as you learn about the three main types of rock, find out how to tell thedifferent rock types apart, and see how rocks change from one type into nother!" I used the website listed above with my 6th grade science students as a review before a test. I liked it because the activities were fun to play, plus they reinforced exactly what we had studied in class. The kids seemed to enjoy playing the games as well. They were able to print out a final score on the quiz, so I was able to see how they did with the activity. Rec. by Theodora Megremis

- Kids' Lightning Information and Safety
This web site gives information about lightning. The information is written by children, so it is easy to understand. Some children share their experiences of being hit by lightning. These stories are translated into Spanish, Swahili, and French. The information is written for second grade and older level readers. The pictures are drawn by children but all students would benefit from the pictures. Submitted by Inge Bennett
