German Grammar and General Linguistics The German Grammar group mainly deals with the empirically oriented description of German and other Germanic languages and the theoretical modelling of the descriptive findings. Since questions regarding general properties of language play an important role in argumentations for or against particular analyses, the research is not restricted to Germanic languages. The modelling is done in the framework of HPSG. in Languages > Germanwith germanhpsg
Grammar Formalisms and Parsing The A4 project is dedicated to the designing of a course in computational linguistics, the fitting together of linguistic theory development, its mathematical basis; computational linguistic implementation, and its necessary programming methods. The focal point of the web-based course developed here is the TRALE-system for the implementation of fragments of natural languages in Head-driven Phrase Structure Grammar (HPSG). in Computational Linguistics > Syntaxwith computationalhpsglinguistic
