Jay Electronica is rising quickly in this fresh New York – New Orleans rap scene - “NONY”, as some call it. NONY is best known for its sultry smooth beats in contrast to a dark but precise rap tone. Set against a MLK protest of sorts (“I’ve been to the Mountain Top”), as well as a gospel choir for the chorus, the song is just that. “Jazzmataz” features a very powerful start and build up, but plateaus with Jay’s entrance onto the song.
