- Museum of Early Southern Decorative Arts (MESDA)
A range of southern artistry and craftsmanship from the 1670s through the early nineteenth century. Twenty-four period rooms and six galleries exhibit furniture, paintings, ceramics, textiles, and metalwork from the Chesapeake, the Low Country, and the Backcountry regions, encompassing North and South Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Georgia. Founded in 1965.
