This is the knife owned by George Washington, who loaned it to John Schneider to make a fire during the planning stages of the Battle of Trenton. Clayton's Company is based in Providence, Rhode Island, with members in Connecticut and Virginia and portrays a battalion company of the regiment as it appeared throughout the war. Our primary focus is on commemorating the service of the officers and men of the 17th Regiment by accurately portraying that unit in appearance and discipline.
