BMW is extending the 1 Series line-up in the UK with a new model consisting of a brace of high performance twin-turbocharged engines and a diesel capable of a frugal 58.9mpg. The new BMW 1 Series Coupe goes on sale in the UK in November and will be available in 120d, 123d and 135i guises. The 135i marks the first time a twin-turbo petrol engine has powered a 1 Series, while the launch of the 123d heralds the introduction of the world’s most powerful production four-cylinder diesel engine.

The crew at American Super Car hope to bring the V7 into line with the 1976 XP-882, and 1990 CERV-III concepts.

London tuning house Autodelta has revealed its 405bhp supercharged Autodelta Alfa Romeo GT Coupe, a car that’s set to make its debut at the Brooklands Italian car fair in the UK later this month. Based on Afla’s stylish GT coupe, Autodelta engineers have added a small Rotrex C38-81 centrifugal supercharger to the car’s larger displacement 3.7L V6 resulting in a max output of 405bhp and 508Nm of torque.

Unveiled at the Seoul Motor Show in the South Korean brand's homeland, it's badged Velostar, and boasts a bold front end with a deep front splitter, as well as large, upswept headlamps. The sporty theme continues with flared wheelarches filled with enormous 20-inch alloys, along with curvaceous body panels and low side skirts. Under the bonnet is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine which drives the front wheels through a five-speed automatic gearbox.

German tuner Hamann has developed a new edition of its BMW Z4 M Coupe performance pack with its latest "Renn Taxi" version. Hamann is yet to release official specs for the new model but as these latest images reveal, Hamann has added a roll-cage and Recaro seats indicating that this model is better suited to the race track. The brake package has also been upgraded with perforated discs and larger calipers.
