  The Gunbarrel Challenge is an annual, international, outback cycling adventure ride & race from Laverton, in the historic West Australian goldfields, to Uluru (Ayers Rock) in Central Australia. Ride for the adventure or race for the cash. • Outbike - Beyond the beyond
  Outbike started in June 2004 with the ‘out-there’ idea of a 900 km ride from Alice Springs to Coober Pedy, following a string of remote trails through the Simpson Desert and far north of South Australia. Building on two successful rides in 2004, the 2005 programme offered three more of the same and introduced a new event, The Bike ‘n Wheels Expedition, taking 30 days to cross Australia from Port Augusta to Karumba (in the direction of 19th century explorers Burke and Wills).
