    In the last decade or so, notions of artistic creativity have undergone a process of progressive demystification. As the nature of invention in a variety of fields but particularly in science has come to be better understood, the Romantic emphasis on unfettered thought has been superseded by an emphasis on the importance of a structured imagination.
