  • Saturn Sounds Spooky
You know those sci-fi movies where the score is meant to be "eldritch", "eerie", "ethereal", "uncanny", "freaky" or whatnot? Well, Saturn really does sounds like that, in a way no musician could hope to compose. Listen to what Cassini heard on its way and around Saturn: Day 207 (10 seconds) Day 324 (73 seconds) Day 1268 (28 seconds) Day 517 (11 seconds) Day 542 (10 seconds) For pictures and info for each tune, check here: day 207, day 324, day 1268, day 517, day 542.

  • The Playboy Interview: Marshall McLuhan
In 1961, the name of Marshall McLuhan was unknown to everyone but his English students at the University of Toronto--and a coterie of academic admirers who followed his abstruse articles in small-circulation quarterlies. But then came two remarkable books-- "The Gutenberg Galaxy" (1962) and "Understanding Media" (1964)--and the graying professor from Canada's western hinterlands soon found himself characterized by the San Francisco Chronicle as "the hottest academic property around." He has since won a world-wide following for his brilliant--and frequently baffling--theories about the impact of the media on man; and his name has entered the French language as mucluhanisme, a synonym for the world of pop culture.

  • BYTLANAS.SE

  • Welcome to MusicBrainz!
MusicBrainz is a community music metadatabase that attempts to create a comprehensive music information site. You can use the MusicBrainz data either by browsing this web site, or you can access the data from a client program — for example, a CD player program can use MusicBrainz to identify CDs and provide information about the CD, about the artist or about related information. You can also use the MusicBrainz Tagger to automatically identify and clean up the metadata tags in your digital music collections. Find out more in the introduction.

  • How to Read Music - wikiHow
    # Study the staff. There are five lines and four spaces, each of which represents a single note. The space above or below any given line corresponds to the note above or below it on the scale. # Identify the clef. The first symbol written on a staff (the five lines on which the notes are written) is the clef, and it tells you which lines and spaces on the staff correspond with which notes. The two most common clefs are the treble clef and the bass clef.

Album cover spoofs, goofs, tributes, send ups, near misses and coincedences. This is the all-new Knockoff*Project. There are over 100 new knockoffs...stashed all over the place. I've split it into sections. I hope it's still as fun and awesome as before. Still, there is no rhyme, reason or order to it. OK, there's the new Beatles section and all the sexy ones are in one place too. Enjoy!

  • mvdbase.com: The Music Video DataBase
As both a music and movie fan, it only was natural for me to develop a passion for music videos. Through the years, I have gathered a huge database covering over 33000 music videos (as of May 15, 2004). As an aspiring director and writer, I tend to look beyond their promotional aspect to find and appreciate their creative qualities. This "young" medium (it only really picked up in the early 80's) is still in its growing stage, gaining more power, momentum and respect with each passing day. When I started mvdbase.com in 1998 (at the time called VideoZone), there were only very few music video resources on the Web. This has changed drastically now, although some data can still be difficult to find. One of my goals with this site was (and still is) to help the
