Dow collaborated with The Keystone Center for Education to develop The Balanced Equation curriculum, which is designed to help teach students about global sustainability and the role chemistry can play in developing long-lasting solutions. It is also designed to engage students in discussions about the importance of considering people, their needs and their environment. The Balanced Equation curriculum uses a hands-on inquiry-based approach that integrates science, math, language arts and social studies education and skills in ten lesson plans. The curriculum aligns with national education standards for these academic areas.
