Put very simply, Bikely helps cyclists share knowledge of good bicycle routes. It can be quite tricky traversing a car dominated city such as Melbourne on a bike, particularly when you need to travel an unknown route to a new destination. But the chances are, someone has cycled that way before you. Bikely makes it easy for him or her to show you the best way.

Chris Dewhirst was at the forefront of climbing in Australia during the late 1960's to early 70's. He put up many hundred first ascents some of which are now recognised as classics such as Manic Depressive (15M3, now 25) in the Grampians, Skink (16M1 now 17) and Werewolf (possibly the first grade 20 in Victoria) at Arapiles, the pen-ultimate Victorian aid routes Ozymandias (M4 now 29) & Lord Gumtree (22 M6) at Mt Buffalo and the impressive Conquistador (20) on the East Face of Frenchman's Cap in South West Tasmania. Visiting the US he became the first Australian to conquer the 5.11 grade and is acknowledged as having bestowed chalk upon Australian climbing.

Green Power is a national accreditation program that sets stringent environmental and reporting standards for renewable energy products offered by electricity suppliers to households and businesses across Australia. If you choose a government accredited Green Power product, your energy supplier agrees that the equivalent amount of energy you nominate is produced from renewable sources, avoiding the use of coal-derived power. Energy suppliers’ Green Power products are independently audited so you can be sure your money is being well spent. The Green Power tick is your guarantee that your contributions are helping facilitate the installation of new sustainable energy projects in Australia.
