Its aim is to present excellence in criticism of the novel in all periods, by established and emerging novelists worldwide, from all interpretive approaches. Each issue contains five to six articles, an occasional review-essay, and eight to ten book reviews. Articles may be submitted at any time and, following initial decision by the editor, are evaluated by noted scholars in the appropriate field from Studies in the Novel's advisory board and the broader academic community. Reviews and review-essays are commissioned by the book review editors, but suggestions for these are welcome.
