Apple - Support - Discussions - OS X Leopard and Alesis Multimix ...

I'm in the same "MultiMix not playing nice with Leopard" boat. I've got a bootable 10.4 firewire drive, and everything works fine with the Alesis. Same config but with 10.5 and no sound. Everything appears to be okay (I can see the MultiMix in the firewire system info and in the audio selection drop lists) but not a peep. Monday I'll be on the phone with Alesis tech support, but I'm bracing myself for really bad news. Ugh. I haven't had any lockups, btw. Just no audio. One more thing: just for kicks I uninstalled the latest Alesis drivers (1.5d4) and installed the 1.5d0. No difference. Message was edited by: slabhead

Do this for all the drives you want to have in your Devices sidebar. I am unsure if this only works if you have previously had it on your sidebar, because I did and then it stoppped appearing after restarts.
