Mit der Transaktion verstärkt sich Basware vor allem im Geschäft mit internationalen Großkunden im Automobilsektor. Zu den Nutzern von First Businesspost zählen unter anderem Audi, BMW, Daimler, MAN, Volkswagen und deren Lieferantennetzwerk. Weitere Standbeine von 1stbp sind das Geschäft mit Handelsunternehmen, insbesondere Edeka, und mit international agierenden Firmen, etwa der Deutschen Telekom und Union Invest.

BITKOM gründet am 21.09.2011 auf der DMSEXPO eigene ECM Initiative < Zunächst die Eckdaten des Termins: Der IT-Branchenverband Bitkom hat kurzfristig für nächste Woche zu einer Kickoff-Veranstaltung für eine eigene ECM-Initiative eingeladen. Das wurde erwartet, nachdem sich der DMS/ECM-Verein VOI – Verband Organisations- und Informationssysteme e.V. kürzlich gegen eine geplante Verschmelzung mit dem Bitkom aussprach (ECMguide.de berichtete). Die Veranstaltung ist nun für nächste Woche während der »DMS Expo« (20. bis 22. September) in Stuttgart am 21. September vormittags angesetzt.

Canon plant die I.R.I.S. Group zu übernehmen. Der Hersteller beabsichtigt alle Aktien, Optionen und Aktienoptionen mit einem öffentlichen Barzahlungsangebot zu erwerben und bietet 44,50 Euro pro Aktie für das an der Brüsseler Börse notierte Unternehmen. Am 31.12.2011 waren rund 1,84 Millionen Aktien im Umlauf. Beide Hersteller pflegen schon seit vielen Jahren eine strategische Partnerschaft und seit Juli 2009 ist Canon bereits im Besitz von 17 Prozent des belgischen ECM- und OCR-Software-Anbieters.
