My father was an overachiever and I spent the first 35 years of my life trying to show him that I could do anything a son could have done. Don't get me wrong, I'm not blaming them. I was hard driven to be the best at everything and it started in college. I was frustrated with Calculas and worried about my midterm. I hired one of the professor's assistants but I still wasn't getting it. He mentioned that he had bought a couple of exams when he was an undergraduate.
