After spending 10 days sightseeing and shopping around Kathmandu,and a few days trekking, I booked an overland trip to Lhasa, the capital of Tibet. I had always wanted to do this trip, and I still rate it the best one I have done so far. Words cannot describe the scenery, and even the best photos don't do it justice. When I left Kathmandu I traveled by vehicle, (a 7 seater van), to Lhasa, the capital of Tibet. The only way to gain entry to Tibet was to be part of a tour group, and have the correct paperwork, (group visa). I don't usually travel on package tours, preferring to make my own arrangements, but this one was O.K. Our tour gu...
